Jesse Furry, of Delmar, Delaware, has won Tournament no. 19 of the Great Lakes International Checkers Conference, a 100-square competition held on ItsYourTurn.com. He made a perfect score with 9 out of 9 for 18 points.
Furry beat out his top rival, Vern Cloud of Buchanan, Michigan, with an endgame trick leaving each player with a King in a single corner. Cloud was second with 16 points, and Neil Wenberg of Pennsylvania third at 13.
